Affiliate Program Terms

1. Eligibility

Any verified Portplate account in good standing may generate referral links. We may suspend affiliate participation for AUP violations, fraud, or excessive chargeback rates without affecting your ordinary user account.

2. Commission structure

• Storage bonus: 100 MB of bonus upload storage to both you and the new user when they sign up via your link.
• Marketplace commission: 15% of Portplate’s platform fee on the referred user’s first 12 months of paid template purchases. The seller still earns their share — the commission comes out of our cut, not theirs.
• Storage bonuses are non-transferable and have no cash value.

3. Payouts

• Commissions accrue 30 days after the underlying purchase clears (covering the buyer’s refund window).
• Minimum payout threshold: USD $50. Below this, balance carries forward.
• Payouts are made via Stripe Connect to your verified Stripe account. We do not pay via PayPal, bank transfer, or other methods.
• You are responsible for any taxes on commission income in your jurisdiction.

4. Prohibited tactics

You may not earn commissions on:

• Self-referrals (your own household, your own alternate accounts, or accounts you control).
• Purchases made by users you cookie-stuff, force-redirect, or land via misleading ads.
• Trademark-bid keywords (“Portplate”, “portplate.com”, common misspellings) on Google/Bing/Meta ads.
• Coupon/cashback sites unless explicitly approved in writing.
• Promotion via spam email, unsolicited DM blasts, or content farms.

Violations void the commission and may forfeit your accrued balance.

5. Disclosure

You must clearly disclose your affiliate relationship in any content promoting Portplate, in line with FTC Endorsement Guides and the equivalent rules in your jurisdiction (e.g. Thai PDPA / EU UCPD).

6. Termination

We may end the program, change the commission structure, or terminate individual affiliate accounts at any time with 30 days’ notice for structure changes (immediately for AUP/fraud). Accrued and earned commissions paid out per Section 3 remain payable on the next cycle.
